Hi

I have been fishing for more years than I care to remember but have concentrated on fly and lure fishing for the past few. I fly fish for anything with fins including coarse fish but am addicted to SWFF. I live in South Yorkshire which would require a pretty long cast to reach the sea in any direction. However I am lucky enough to own a campervan and get away to the coast at least once a month (wife permitting). I have fly fished at many venues round the coast my favourite places being cornwall especially round the fal estuary, the gower and western scotland. Finally thanks lads for all the tips I have picked up from the forum I thought it was about time I got off my backside and put something back in.

Welcome to "The Team" camperman. I am like you living miles from the coast, but even further in my case, I am in Uttoxeter! Even so, I travel and fish.Your ability to get away is an eviable one and I look forward to rading about some of your exploits.

Uttoxeter aint so bad (good motorway links) less than 3 hours north is grange over sands area (read stsflyfishing site) and the gower is about the same distance with Excellent bass and mullet fishing. I can point you in the direction of the best marks as i know this area very well. Would take you in the van but my wife usually tags along.

If you're down in South Wales this coming season, let me know! :D Mullet on the fly is becoming a bit of a preoccupation for me!

Ah, 'tis a challenge, but it's more than do-able...and there's no better method either! Finding the mullet isn't the key, it's finding the mullet feeding....that's the trick...the rest is easy! :D
