Does anyone have an opinion or experience as to how Hayling Island fishes from high tide down to low tide? I'm thinking of going this weekend and travel time means that I'll probably be fishing mostly as the tide ebbs down from high to low.

Depends which bit your fishing, but generally I would say low to high. Just watch out for the tides coming in behind you if you are out on the sand banks!
