Hi

I am Clinton and have been fishing the north wales coast line for some years now, not fly-fishing. I have recently built a 14 ft boat with a big flat casting deck and I am keen explore what the Barmouth Aberdovey area has to offer in fly fishing terms.

I would like to make contact with fellow fly fisherman who fish this area to learn the ropes and make new friends. Ideally from the shore at this time of year as its to cold and difficult to get afloat in the winter.

I hope to hear from someone who would like to meet up

Cheers Clinton

Hi Clinton - it is warmer on the boat than out in the kayak!

Aberdovey is a good go for flounders at the moment and if youwanted to fish at night you get whiting - but the storm has churned everything over - waste of time for a few weeks until the silt settles. All the fish are miles out, there is peat showing on the beach around there now - the sand has been washed out to sea leaving the old peat layers exposed. It is the same right up and down the exposed coast - but come the summer I am sure things will be back to normal on the reef. happy to join you over there, I know the water pretty well.

Thanks for the response.

A bit quiet on here isn't it? I will PM you a bit later in the year when things warm up a bit. Thanks for the offer

Clinton
