Afternoon all,

Brand new here and to SWFF. Looking to give it a go through this coming season - am based in London so will be roving with likely destinations being Cuckmere Haven, Pembrokeshire and Devon.

I have an 8 weight 10ft and most of the bits. However the one area I'm confused by are the flies. Can anyone point me in the general direction of a good all-rounder starter set? Or take the time to list what would add up to a well rounded beginner's set, sizes included? I'd be very grateful. Coming from river fishing for brownies it's a bit of a new world.

I'm looking to target whatever species I can! But I guess potentially mackeral, bass, mullet. Or whatever else anyone recommends as potentially catchable for a beginner.

Grateful for any help offered,

Mike

I'd recommend an olive & white clouser too!

Forgot about that one........
Start off the season smallish 25mm size and get bigger as the season goes on.(im only going by what ive been told).
Gurglers are obviously used with your floating flyline.Try popping it along the top of the wrack weed, you will get snagged up a fair bit but generally the results are pretty good as the fish like to forage in there.
