Hi, I have been fly fishing for a few months now on a small still water lake in derbyshire. I am staying on the Helford River near Port Navas in May and was wondering if it is worth trying Fly fishing for Bass there? Can anyone say if this is worth a go and recommend any marks? I won't have access to a boat. Any other tips will be appreciated also. Thanks, dave

Don't know anything too specific but I believe it is a good bass fishery. But is it also a nursery..? I'd be surprised if you were to get any meaningful responses on here, you might have to look around on Google. I'm sure Austen Goldsmith knows where to catch 'em but I don't think he'd want to give anything away! Access might be a problem too - there aren't too many places you can get down to the water but you could probably work your way along a shoreline somewhere...
