Polite, you should be pleased that you did not make the trek over for Conuma Chinook this year.
When the smolts left 4/5 years ago, they were met by lots of mackerel, ravenous beasts as they are, they cleaned out a lot of small Chinook, thus the amount returning this year is much smaller than normal.
A friend of mine just spent 6 days at Moucha Inlet,with his son-in-law, and they only caught one Chinook( 25 lber )
Not a very good return for the time spent fishing, not to mention the cost $$$$
