Here is my take on the kinky muddler bait pattern, i have tie this in FUNKYFIBER which i like a lot.

MATERIALS
Hook- Varivas 2610ST-V, I have used a 2/0 on this tie, the long shank helps to give you a good full body.
Thread- Danville 6/0 white, 70 denier.
Wing- FUNKYFIBER White /light blue and purple.
Tail- FUNKYFIBER White and light blue.
Flash- Hareline Ice wing fiber, silver and lavender this ia nice and light and gives loads of flash and movement.
Eyes- Funky eyes.

Image
Place hook in vise, catch thread and a dab of varnish.
Image
Tie in white funkyfiber.
Image
Now tie in the fiber facing forward to eye of hook, and also tie in ice wing fiber in silver.
Image
Now here i have tied in the top color, with lavender ice wing. tied the same way as under color.
Image
Now its time to start body, you need to cut you fiber 3/4s the length of the tail fiber. and tease out fibers from one end this will help you to get a better shaped body. i do this with all my tie from now on .
Image
Now we are going to tie body in V shape tie's, you will see what i am saying as we go along with tie.
Image
Here you can see the V shape.
Image
Again showing the V shape of the first white tie from top.
Image
Now tie in the first of the top ties.
Image
Here the purple is tied in after the blue.
Image
Here showing the body ties coming along.
Image
Don't forget you need to cut each tie 3/4s the length of the body ties as you go along it, and tease out ends as you go.
Image
At the end, your body should look like this, it looks a mess but after a trim it will look fine.
Image
Here you can see body, before i start to trim it.
Image
Here the body hair has had a trim, to shape the taper from eye out to back of fly.
Image
Now you can see i have done the same, shaping body top and bottom going in to tail of fly.
Image
Here now showing shape of fly from top. and looking a good bait pattern shape.
Image
Now showing one side of finished fly.
Image
And now here is the other side. and looking good in shape :D

Hope this helps some of you to have a go at this type of tie, its not hard to do guys. and a good bass pattern in the water, and also try in other colors that work for you.

Dai
