FFJ, I have to say, I really enjoy reading your blog! :D To fish some of the locations you have, with mt.Fuji in the background, must be very special! That Pacific Redfin you caught a few weeks ago looked like a superb fish! I wonder how you would find fishing here in the UK by comparison? I've become interested in the Tenkara style of fly fishing for small streams, which we are just beginning to hear about here in the UK. Have you used that method on your small rivers in Japan?

Joe

Thanks Joe, unfortuatly I have not falilier with Tenkara. It's a kind of Japanese traditional fishing method
especally for commecal fisherman in old days. Small trout and char are caught by them and they used to
sold these fish to small hotel in mountain side. Now European fly fishing is more popular here in Japan, but
some people are very keen on Tenkara.
